• Go-Ahead Northern has introduced its first new full size buses since 1986. The first of 12 Leyland Lynxes have entered service on the HeworthEasington Lane route, worked by the Washington and Philadelphia depots.
The new buses will serve routes 194 and 294, which run from the north of the company's territory to the south: the company feels that maximum impact can be made by concentrating its new vehicles on one service.
