• A survey of Britain's motorway system and goods vehicle operation is to be carried out by the PTA. Aspects likely to be covered by the survey include service area provision and facilities, vehicle bunching, driver fatigue, specialized equipment and vehicles for motorway use, and possible depot rationalization.
