Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

work is the Mo-Car Syndicate, Ltd., makers of the ArrolJohnston. Their efforts have been mainly in the direction of designing suitable types to run upon solid tyres, and, although (owing to mistaken ideas on the part of buyers) their vehicles have never been constructed on what may be termed fashionable lines, they have never found difficulty in selling the whole of their output. Their experimental work commenced in 1896, and, so well have their plans been laid, that the type of engine settled upon soon after that date has continued to be manufactured by them ever since. Improvements have, of course, been made in details where experience has shown the necessity, and it says much for the minds both of those who designed the vehicles and those who directed the business side of the firm to find that suc

cess has attended their efforts from the outset. They started with the intention of making a perfectly reliable vehicle at a fair price, in which the key-note should be steady running rather than high road speed. A good point which will appeal to van and lorry users alike is the ample provision made for continuous running, by which a fully-loaded vehicle can cover about iso miles without replenishment of any nature. Solely excepting the springs and tyres, every portion of the vehicle they sell is the product of their factory, and they have a system of manufacturing a number of a similar class at one time which must make for economical output. Many of their wagons have run for 6,000 miles without a penny being spent upon repairs, and this should be considered when the merits of different firms' manufactures are under review. Price is not the only consideration in motor vehicles, for quality should be placed foremost.
