Four competitors are shortlisted for Dealer of the Year at the Motor Transport Awards 2011
Words: Kevin Swallow THE SHORTLIST for the Dealer of the Year award at the Motor Transport Awards has been inalised, leaving four dealerships with a chance of victory.
Those vying for the crown, which will be awarded at the Grosvenor House, London on 6 July, are: Southamptonbased MAN dealer Harwoods; DAF Trucks dealer Imperial Commercials at Derby; Mercedes-Benz dealer S&B Commercials from Hertfordshire; and Scania dealer Truckeast, based in Stowmarket, Suffolk.
Steve Hobson, editor of sister title Motor Transport, says choosing the inal four was dificult: “It’s an important award, as it represents the face of the manufacturer at a business-to-business level,” he says.
Last year, Mercedes-Benz dealer Ciceley Commercials was crowned Dealer of the Year.
Dealer principal Mike Lewis said: “Winning the Motor Transport award helps you to reach a much wider audience.” ■
