Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Terry Goldrick, the Freight Transport Association's director of engineering and consultancy has been made an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours.

The award is in recognition of his contribution to vehicle safety and engineering. Goldrick has spent almost four decades in the industry, starting as an apprentice with Leyland Motors. He joined the FTA in 1968 as chief engineer and retires in August.

Bryan Colley, new director general of the Road Haulage Association, becomes a Companion of the Bath.

Two bus chiefs have won awards. Roy Richmond, chief executive of Epsom Coaches in Surrey, is awarded the MBE. He has run the company for 35 years. Ulsterbus and Citybus managing director Werner Heubeck is given a CBE. He retires this year.

Tommy Marsden, a former driver with East Yorkshire Motor Services of Hull, gets the BEM, and Merrick Taylor deputy chairman and managing director of Motor Panels, receives an OBE.

Tom Watt, a voluntary member of the Chartered Insti tute of Transport's Scottish committee, wins an MBE. He recently retired from Glasgow Corporation's public transport department. Phil Lee, of the Department of Transport's South East regional office in Dorking is awarded a CBE.
