Whereas 400 years ago Pickfords might have been accused of double agent activities — well, what with its Spanish subsidiary, Pidords Espana, Francis Drake would surely have had some doubts as to the company's loyalties — it has finally come out in the open and admitted links with the Spanish peninsula.
A Pickfords pantechnican, unashamedly displaying the logo Pickfords Espana, and a 1912 Pickfords van for good measure (though not of Pegaso breed) joined 100 other vehicles which took part in Plymouth's Armada celebrations last week. God save King Juan Carlos!
