DOWTY'S NEW AUTOPR1NTER • Dowty Information systems has launched Autoprint II, a compact in-cab data terminal with an integral printer. LCD display and function keypad. Communication between driver and depot control, accurate job tracking and efficient resource planning and control are the benefits of the system, says the manufacturer.

Like the rest of its family, Autoprint 11 data terminals can be linked to a single IBM PC or compatible microcomputer at the depot and an existing AM or FM mobile radio system. Installed in the cab along with the radio, the terminal can then be integrated with other communications systems linked to mainframe computers and their networks.

The Autoprint II unit comprises an integral printer, 32character backlit LCD display and function keypad, which Dowty customises for specific applications.

Other features of the new system include additional serial ports for data input from, for example, a bar code reader or a magnetic striped card, and ensures confidentiality of transmitted information.

Contact Sarah Dupays or Sue Pepper at Dowty Information Systems, Marshfield, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 8NN for more information.
