Richards and Son from Fakeham admitted liability for an accident which left a motorcyclist suffering from brain damage.
Robert Shaw, 25, was awarded £300,000 damages for injuries sustained when his motorcycle and an articulated lorry were in collision on Retford Road, Nottingham in July 1982.
More than £28,000 of the award has been set aside for special treatment at a Northamptonshire brain injury centre, and £21,000 of the award was given to Shaw's parents for loss of earnings while caring for their son after the accident.
