• Australian-owned tour operator Westbus UK has made its biggest single investment since it was established in 1986 with a 2750,000 order for eight Hestair Duple coaches based on Volvo BlOM GLE chassis.
Three 40-seaters will be used mainly for Continental touring, with five 53-seaters destined for London-based tours. All eight have high-floor 340 bodies with airconditioning, tinted doubleglazing and split windscreens for cheaper replacements.
The Arlington-supplied BlOMs will be powered by 231kW Volvo THD101 engines driving through ZFS6-90 manual gearboxes.
