Two from lveco

TWO NEW models at 13.3 tonnes gvw have been added to lveco's middleweight range.

Available with wheelbases of 3.2m, 3.8m, 4.4m, 5.0m and 5.5m (10.5ft, 12.5ft, 14.4ft, 16.4ft and 18ft), they are powered by naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions of lveco's 8060.04S four-stroke six-cylinder diesel engine.

The least powerful 135.14 model develops 99kW (135bhp) at 3,200rpm and 363Nm (268Ib ft) torque. The more powerful 135.17 model is rated at 124kW (168bhp) at 2,700rpm with torque of 500Nm (367Ib ft).

Both use a ZF six-speed synchromesh gearbox with 305 and 330mm (12 and 13in) diameter, single dry plate Borg and Beck clutches fitted to match the output of the respective engines. Front suspensions are parabolic single rate springs, dual rate parabolic springs are fitted at the rear.

The full air brake system operates on two independent circuits and load sensing is fitted. Low profile 285/70R 19.5 tubeless tyres keep the unladen frame height down to 1.035m (3ft 43/4in). Other specification details include 24-volt electrics and a 135 litre (30gal) fuel tank.
