PHIL WICKENS has retired from the post of Group Technical Executive of the United Transport Gr.oup after 38 years in the road transport industry. Prior to joining United he was Chief Engineer of a number of BET bus companies including Western Welsh and Maidstone and District. He will be succeeded in September by Ian Barred, sent Technical Executkre with United's subsidiaries in Kenya.
