ZANSPORT Minister illiam Rodgers has told the eight Transport Association at he will not intervene in e row over the introduction a ban on heavy vehicles in e Windsor area.
The news follows representions to the Minister (CM ne 2) over the ban which will fect only commercial hides over five tons unladen Nin some roads in the Windr area. It does not affect ■ aches.
Mr Rodgers has told the C'A that such bans on classes vehicles are the business of e local authority and he will leaving the decisions on the atter to the Berkshire 3unty Council.
But he has made it clear that will be watching the effects the ban and the Transport id Road Research LaboLtory is to carry out a ■ efore and after" study of its fects in co-operation with
