Herbert Grainger, former vice-chairman of London Transport Board, has been elected president of the International Union of Public Transport, in succession to Charles Karma At the a.g.m. of the National Joint Council on Materials Handling, A. Enticknap, representing the IRTE, was elected chairman. Vicechairmen elected were G. B. Canton (Bambergers Pallets and Cases Ltd.) and H. G. Bunee (Institute of Materials Handling). W. M. Little has retired as chairman of the Public Transport Association. T. W. H. Galley is the new chairman, with F. K. Pointon and D. S. Deacon, vice-chairmen.
