I during which the directors of F. Perkins, Ltd., were "at home" to a large number of their friends in the industry and well-known guests, including Viscount Bruce of Melbourne, P.C., C.H. The purpose was to show to the visitors the remarkable progress made by this enterprising concern, and the new oil-engine production plant covering six acres at Oxney Roaa, Peterborough.
In only 16 years, the production in engine b.h.p. has risen to 1,140,000 per annum, which will soon be increased to 1,500,000. NEW R.H.E. GROUP
THERoad Haulage Executive has announced the formation of a new haulage group at Gateshead, comprising five units in the district. These are .Unit D.35 (Northumbrian Transport Services), Unit D.86 (R. Seymour, Stanley), Unit 1).87 (R. Gardner, Langley Moor), Unit D.I39 (A. Atkinson, Birtley), and Unit D.24 (Mackenzie, Gateshead).
Accounts and payments will now be attended to at the R.H.E., Gateshead Group, Second Avenue, Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead-on-Tyne, II, although traffic orders will continue to be taken at the unit depots. The new group will commence operations on June 18.
