• EU legislation designed to harmonise CPC syllabuses could require that CPC examiners have no interest in the candidates' success. To achieve this. the RSA has proposed that all CPC exams should be run by further education colleges.
But JR Scarborough, director
of Somerset training school Friendberry, says this would hit drivers, whose training opportunities would be limited by college timetables. He believes the changes would also signal an end to the schedule of four CPC exams a year, in March, June, October and December.
