Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• West Midlands police are warning truck drivers to be on their guard for children climbing onto flatbeds in the wake of an accident which has left a teenager fighting for his life. Birmingham youngster Darren Evans climbed onto the back of a lorry without the driver's knowledge and either jumped or fell off just yards from his home in Washwood Heath. PC Phil Robins at Aston's police traffic unit admits that there is "not a lot truck drivers can do" apart from being vigilant. Police are also concerned about children hitching lifts on the bock of trucks. This type of incident has been sparked by the rise in popularity of roller blading and skate boarding. West Midlands police are appealing for the driver of the flatbed carrying Evans, or anyone with any information about the incident, to come forward. Contact: 01 21 322 6207.
