• Licensing Authority John Mervyn Pugh has slammed a quirk in the law which makes it harder to prosecute PCV operators than hauliers.
A goods operator can be taken to court within six months of an offence being committed or the offence coming to the notice of the prosecuting authorities. His PCV counterpart can only be prosecuted within six months of the offence being committed.
