• An application for a new fivevehicle standard international licence by J J Adams Haulage, based in Ossett, has been adjourned.
North Eastern Deputy Licensing Authority H Anthony Richardson was concerned that two directors of J J Adam Haulage had been involved in I M Transport which went into liquidation in November 1991.
Richardson was told that the company already holds a licence in the South Eastern Traffic Area authorising 66 vehicles and 45 trailers.
After hearing financial evidence in private, Richardson adjourned the inquiry until October 1992, to give the company time to produce more financial information. He granted it interim authority to operate.
