Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• GDL, the recently-formed confectionery and allied grocery products distribution arm of the National Freight Consortium, is to provide direct delivery and secondary distribution for Northern Food's company Elkes Biscuits, in a two-year deal worth almost .21 million.

Elkes currently supplies leading multiples with own-label biscuits, as well as marketing its own-brand products.

Under the contract, GDL will provide direct delivery to around 40 of Ekes' major customers, including multiple retailers, and cash-and-carry stores. Artic units, mainly in Elkes' livery, will operate the service from the company's Uttoxeter factory. Other, nonbulk Elkes customers will be serviced from stocks held at GDL's Sheffield and Lutterworth depots. from 71% to 80%.

Tiphook now plans to expand its trailer rental interests in Europe, where it has recently acquired a German trailer rental company. Chairman Robert Montague says: "This year should see operations commence in Belgium, Spain and France, giving us a strong presence in Europe and the ability to influence further the development of the trailer rental market."

Tiphook also plans to invest a farther 2150,000 in the development of its intermodal rail wagon, which is being designed with the agreement of British Rail to allow the easy transfer of parts of articulated trailer loads on to rail wagons. The company believes the market for this development could grow dramatically with the forthcoming building of the Channel Tunnel.
