Tkir. A. R. DUNBAR, a rnember of ilfrthe British Railways Board, has been elected the next president of the Institute • of Transport and will take office on October 1.
Starting his railway career as a junior clerk, Mr. Dunbar became assistant general manager of the-North Eastern Region at York in 1954. While in York he was a member of the boards of Hebble M o t o.r Services
Ltd., . Northern General Transport Co. Ltd. and its subsidiary, Sunderland.District Omnibus Co. Ltd., and the Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co. Ltd.
In May. 1958. Mr. Dunbar returned to London as manpower adviser to the British Transport Commission and became a member of British Railways Board on its formation in January, 1963. He has been' a vice-president of the Institute since 1962. Air. Dunbar
