Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the first licences for articulated vehicles for use in connection with the new Hull-Rotterdam ferry service which is scheduled to start in November.

Hunters of Hull Ltd., who last month applied for licences for five additional vehicles, were granted three. When the application was heard at Bridlington, Mr. R. E. Paterson, for Hunters, said the new roll-on/roll-off Continental trailer service at King George Dock, Hull, would open a new gateway to exporters of perishable goods. Finns who had been unable to export their goods previously on cost grounds or because they were perishable, would be provided with a service to the Continent.

The application was opposed by British Road Services.

Several other Hull and East Riding Transport firms have submitted applications for additional vehicles.
