MOBILE automobile workshop 1. based on an Austin 2-ton forwardntrol chassis with 25-in, chassis tension has been built by Marshall otor Bodies, Ltd., Cambridge.

The internal body measurements arc: igth. 16 ft., width, 7 ft., and height. ft. The frame is of hardwood, whilst body is panelled in aluminium-faced vwood and the cab and roof in alunium sheet. It is possible to load a all car into the van for repair or nsport up a spring-assisted ramp at rear. The floor is unimpeded by teel-arches. To assist loading, there is winch below the floor at the rear with 31es led forward to the front.

Behind the bulkhead is a small ierator providing power for a pedesdrill, grinder, polisher and other 'fiances. Provision is made to carry inders of oxygen and acetylene, and iinets are built in the cab head I in the body sides for spares, large res and loose tools being accomdated below the bulkhead workch. Cab equipment includes an individual seat for the driver and a bench seat for passengers, twin windscreen wipers and two mirrors. Direction indicators arc of the winking type. The centre section of the roof, to which access is gained by folding steps, is reinforced. The vehicle is painted Brunswick green.

A towing hook is provided below the rear of the body, and lashing rings are fitted towards the rear of the body floor. The rear wheels are enclosed by detachable covers.

Owners of the vehicle, Beverley Motors, Coombe Road, New Malden. Surrey, use it as a racing equipe to carry their Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo sports cars to various meetings at home and on the Continent, and to provide service facilities for the cars.
