VOLVO TRUCKS and Isuzu Truck dealer MC Group has spent more than £50,000 on a new MoT lane at Maidstone so it can test light CVs.
MC Group built the new lane after its rental division moved to new premises, and it is next to its authorised testing facility. The MoT test lane is for Class 4,5 and 7 vehicles.
MD Simon Dawson (pictured right) said the lane is aimed at local CV fleets. "This new venture complements our other offerings.
"It means we are now able to take on all types of vehicles from the smallest car to the biggest truck," he explained. "Our extended opening hours also make it easier and more convenient for private drivers
and businesses to bring in their vehicles."
• Class 4 includes light goods vehicles up to 3 tonnes. Class 5 includes larger private passenger vehicles, minibuses and ambulances. Class 7 covers CVs from 3 tonnes to 3.5 tonnes.
