Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

If the French Government takes any longer than four months to pay compensation arising from the strike before Christmas there will be several hauliers no longer in business to receive the payments. All of us who got stuck out there still had to pay for our repayments on truck and trailers as well as insurance, never mind mortgages.

Christmas might have come early to the striking French drivers but it nearly ruined it for those unlucky enough to get stuck behind the barricades.

If the French government has any interest in retaining cordial relations with its European counterparts then it should speed up the payments before the companies waiting for the cash are no longer in existence.
