• London removers Bishop's Move has converted a G-reg Mercedes 1726 demount drawbar chassis into a modern pantechnicon for a third of the cost of a new vehicle.
Conversion specialist Vancraft of High Cross, Norfolk extended the cab, fitting sleeping accommodation, and then lengthened the chassis to take a modern 2,500ft3 six-container GRP body. Vancraft also added radiussed side skirts and fulllength buffer strips.
Vancraft is to supply Bishop's Move with 10 more similar conversions on used chassis.
