• The University of Westminster's Transport Studies Group has helped to set up a Europe-wide User Group on Freight & Fleet Management (UGFFM). This group will collect and distribute information about computerised management and telecommunications systems—initially those in EU-funded programmes, but also commercially produced systems.
The group hopes to establish a "contact centre" which will offer users comparative information and cost/benefit analyses of systems. It is also interested in providing information via trade associations and operator groups.
