• Manchester-based contract hire and rental specialist PHH Ideal is offering two new maintenance services for HGVs.
The Truckmaster Gold Service takes over maintenance scheduling, booking and replacement vehicles while the vehicle is off the road.
The Silver Service offers discounts on truck parts from PHH's network of more than 300 franchised service outlets.

Supreme success
• Supreme Securities has recruited 25 operators and drivers for an insurance scheme which provides financial support if they are involved in an accident or fall ill. The service, launched before Christmas, allows drivers to be flown home from abroad and pays for private hospital fees in the event of a crash.

Truckdata
• The first used HGV price list on computer disk is now available from Cap Nationwide Motor Research. The list, known as Truckdata, gives vehicle values and specifications.
It operates on all IBM-compatible computers with either 5.25" or 3.5" disk drives. A monthly update costs £150 a year.
