Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

with a hired 41-seater coach without a road service licenee? I have a psv driving licence and the vehicle would, of course, be a psv. I intend to hire the coach from my employer and drive it myself. 1 intend to advertise the trip in a speedway supporters' magazine.

If I used a 10or 12-seater minibus, would this exempt the trip from the necessity to obtain a road service licence?

A If you are charging separate fares and advertising the trip, you will need a road service licence from the Traffic Commissioners to run it.

This would apply if the vehicle has eight or more seats, so the hire of a 10or 12-seater minibus would not alter the circumstances.

If you were to form a club with properly constituted rules of membership and a fee for joining the club, then you would be able to hire the coach as a club. Separate fares would not then be charged and this would absolve you from the responsibility of obtaining a road service licence. Of course, you must not advertise the trip in these circumstances.
