Telephones in the CM office, never quiet for long at the best of times, have suddenly come alive with repeated requests for information about IVECO—the company formed from a merging of Fiat and Magirus Deutz commercial vehicle interests. The inquiries were at first even more alarming in that they all came from Ford dealerships. Another merger in the pipeline ? . . . perhaps even a take-over bid.
No, not on your life; it turned out to be just eager Ford men striving to answer questions in the latest Ford dealer quiz.
The first prize is a holiday in Paris and if the calls keep coming in, Trevor Longcroft, who's answered most of the calls, will certainly deserve it.
Seriously though, no more calls •or we'll be forced into publishing all the answers, and Ford just can't afford all those weekend's in Paris.
