Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

at Geneva

• Two new versions of chassis made by British Leyland companies will be featured at the Geneva Show which opens on January 31. The AEC V8 Mandator will be seen as a 19-ton-gross rigid four-wheeler and the BMC Mastiff will appear with left-hand drive. Both chassis will carry the name "Leyland" which is now the policy of BLMC in export markets where it is practicable to market trucks under the single name.

Except for the steering position, the Mastiff will have an identical specification to existing models. The exhibit will be a 16-ton-gross four-wheeler with 15ft 2in. wheelbase. But the V8 Mandator differs from the tractive unit version of the model available until now. It has the 272 bhp V8 diesel and is to be shown with 10-speed splitter gearbox while the rear axle has a 13-ton capacity and a 6.5-ton front axle is employed.

When used with a trailer, the V8 Mandator is rated for 40 tons gross combination weight and the Geneva exhibit will be fitted with 12.00-20 tyres on Trilex wheels and have the two-berth sleeper version of the Ergomatic cab.
