He was a prospective lorry purchaser, and he had been persuaded to visit the showrooms in order to look over the vehicles available for early delivery.
One lorry in particular took his fancy, and so he had explained to him the various good points :claimed for engine, clutch, gearbox,. back axle, and so on.
The salesman felt he had done well, but. suddenly he was left gasping on being faced with, " Well, that's all right, but what about the depreciation part.? I've been told as that's the racist important part of a lorry! "
