Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A RECRUITMENT company in the North-West has angered owner-drivers by going into administration, only to start trading again days later as a new lirm but with the same director.

According to accountants Kroll, Driver Provider in Skelmersdale. Lanes considerably expanded its operation in the months leading up to its administration. A spokeswoman reports: "They had a lot of fleet contracts for vehicles. When demand fell away they were left with a big fleet they weren't fully utilising. They tried to streamline and send vehicles back."

Despite these efforts. Kroll put the company into administration on 6 February. Its assets were then sold to the firm Driver Provider Transport. which has the same company secretary and director as Driver Provider: Liz Williams and James Fahy.

The final accounts for Driver Provider reveal it generated a turnover of £2m for the year ending 31 March 2004. Its pre-tax profits were £60,000 and it owed creditors f384.0(X).

The Kroll spokeswoman says the full amount creditors are owed has yet to he established.

Williams declines to say how many creditors Driver Provider has; it is thought to be between 25 and 30. She is unable to say if they will be paid or how many have contacted the company.

One creditor, who wishes to remain anonymous. says: "I'm doing everything in my power to make all of his customers aware.Tbe money won't make me broke — I'm thinking of all the smaller hauliers."
