TWO new management appointments have been made by BRS Western following the appointment of Steve Abel as managing director of the National Freight Consortium company (CM, January 12).
Jeremy Coates becomes head of finance, replacing Michael Wigmore who has gone to the NFC's Bedford headquarters as financial controller. A chartered accountant, Mr Coates has worked for the St Regis Paper Group and Midsummer Inns.
Gary Pickford has been appointed to the new post of company sales manager. He has joined BRS Western from Marley Vehicle Leasing where he was national sales manager.
