FOLLOWING the official UK launch of the joint MAN-VW MT range next April, MAN-VW Truck and Bus Ltd is to launch a new 10-tonner designated the MAN 10.136.
Production of this new model — which has the MANVW cab — is scheduled to begin in May.
The engine is a six-cylinder naturally aspirated MAN D0226 MF unit which develops 100kW (136bhp) DIN at 3000rpm with a maximum torque of 353Nm (260,bft) at 160Orpm.
The gearbox is a five-speed all-synchromesh unit and the standard rear axle ratio is 4.87 with a 5.57 option.
There are four wheelbases available for the 10.136 at 3.1, 3.6, 4.25 and 4.6m (10ft 2in, lift 10in, 13ft llin and 15ft lin).
As a guide to kerb weight, the chassis cab of the 3.1m model weighs 2830kg (2 tons 16cwt).
