LEYLAND has won an Iraqi order for three of its new Lan( train models, and the Ugandan Government has ordered 15 Redline range lorries.
The Landtrains are going to the Baghdad Passenger Transport Services fleet, a subsidiary of the state organisation for land transport, and will support its bus fleet.
One will be a 6 x 4 recovery vehicle, another a 6 x 4 4000 gallon fuel tanker, and the third a 4 x 2 haulage vehicle.
The Ugandan order is for 20 Reivers, 80 Boxers, and 50 Clydesdales, all of which will be shipped complete from the medium/light vehicle division's Scottish factories.
Uganda is spending £10.6m on Leyland products. Leyland Vehicles' share is worth £7 Jrn,
