ENRY VENABLES Ltd of Stafford, one of the largest hardrood sawmills in Britain, has just taken delivery of a Highland ear/Jonsered GA80 30 ton/metre timber handling crane iounted on a Foden six-wheel tractive unit.
operator only has to change seats in the cab, all controls for the boom and stabilisers being contained in a control module at the cab's roof level.
To minimise maintenance, all the pivot points on the crane boom are lubricated by an autobus system which provides a regular and measured supply of lubricant.
A Gardner 6LX engine operates the crane's hydraulic systems.
