BURTON-ON-TRENT is the latest area to get a Midland Red brand name for the company's revised operations.

From Saturday, Midland Rd "Lancer" buses will serve the villages in and around Burton. For the first time for many years, Midland Red Buses will be able to pick up and take through passengers in the operating area of East Staffordshire District Council.

The Staffordshire County Council, as the area transport co-ordinator, has agreed to underwrite the District Council undertaking if it suffers any abstraction due to the revised arrangements.
