D ETURN No. 150 (MechanicallyIN. propelled Road Vehicles, Great Britain), which has just been published by the Stationery Office at 2s. 6d.. shows that in the six months ended May 31. L950, users of motor vehicles paid £48,618.000 in taxation. Operators of hackneys paid £5,487,000, of agricultural tractors, etc. (5s. class) £68,000, of other tractors £136,000, and of goods vehicles E19,986.000.
Over half the taxation from motorvehicle users is paid by commercialvehicle operators, although they are in a minority .
