THE share capital of Brentwood Engineering Co., Ltd, has been acquired by Mr. Stanley Pigott who, earlier in the year, purchased the share capital of Savage's Motors, Ltd., Vauxhall and Bedford main dealers of Brentwood, Essex.
Brentwood Engineering are Morris and M.G. dealers and agents for Seddon diesel engines. They also operate the Perkins diesel engine sales and service, together with the Hartridge diesel injection equipment service.

AT the International Conference of Automotive Industry Workers in Paris, the United States union leader, Mr. Victor Reuther, stated that if motor industry pay rates in Detroit were taken as having an index number of 100, then British workers in the same industry would have wages equivalent to an index number of 37, West German workers 24. the French industry 21, Italian workerc 18 and Japanese workers only 11.
