• Swift Transport Services has clinched a three-year contract with Unipart for overnight parts distribution to more than 300 Rover Group dealers and retails outlets in the UK.
Swift director Mark Gittins describes the deal as "major — it's one of the largest automotive contracts in the UK".
The operation is serviced by about 100 vehicles and uses Unipart's Cowley site to run parts direct to the dealer. The contract also renews the existing Swift operation servicing Unipart's Scottish region and Jaguar dealerships nationwide.
