The Department of the Environment is being called in to settle a row between two councils over a transport site development.
The dispute — between Northumberland county council and Blyth Valley borough council — is over a scheme to provide a 24. hectare storage and service area at South Cramlington.
Northumberland county council wants to develop the site, Which it claims is well within its D of E approved structure plan for the area.
However, Myth Valley planners claim the area is coverecrhy green belt regulations and would therefore be "illegal".
The scheme involves a transport service area, overnight accommodation, petrol and dery filling station and several high-tech factory units. There would also be warehousing and security parking areas.
A decision on the . scheme is expected later . this summer.
