Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An epoxy adhesive that sets in 5-15 minutes without heat treatment, and a method of ensuring that this adhesive should be perfectly mixed are two of the advantages claimed for the Loctite Epoxy Mixer Cups from the Douglas Kane Group.

Each Loctite mixer cup contains, in separate compartments, premeasured portions of resin and hardener. By simply pressing down the centre of the cup the partition between the two compartments is removed and all that remains is to blend resin and hardner together with the wooden spatula provided.

The adhesive in each Mixer Cup is said to cover an area of at least 39sqcm (6sqin) setting in 5-15 minutes without heat treatment. It is claimed that glass, -metals, plastics, wood, ceramics, pottery, enamel, fabrics and fibreglass can be joined to themselves or each other with a final bond strength of over 1,3790kN/sqm (2,000psi) reached afrer 24 hours. Once mixed the adhesive has a pot life of 5 minutes at 21°C (70°F).

There are 10 mixer cups to each can and each cup contains 4 grams (0.14oz) of adhesive at a cost of £1.70. Available from: Douglas Kane Group Ltd, Welwyn Garden City, Herts.
