Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

New tubeless radials quicker to fit

A TUBELESS version of its P555 tubed radial truck tyre — but with the same tread pattern — is being introduced by Pirelli at the Commercial Motor Show (September 20-28). It has an all-steel casing and is available in 11,00-22.5 size only.

Its light weight and the fact that it requires only a singlepiece wheel can save an operator up to 2 Okg (441b) per wheel compared to a conventional 10.00-20 tubed 16ply tyre and wheel assembly.

For smaller vehicles Pirelli is introducing a steel-belted van radial, the TR37, which will be custom-built for van delivery operating. It will be available initially in one size only — 125R14; a larger 205R14 tyre will be introduced later in the year. A MOVABLE bulkhead has been introduced by Freight Bona!lack Ltd for fitting inside its chassisless semi-trailer vans so that two different types of load can be carried in separate compartments, or part-loads held secure.

The bulkhead, available as an optional extra at a cost of about E400, stows out of the way within the roof space when not in use. It can be swung down into position and locked when needed.

A short horizontal section at the top of the bulkhead is suspended by hangers and hard nylon rollers from an overhead door track secured to each side of the body. Additionally, this section can be locked at any given position along the body length by captive pins inserted through each roller track and suspension hanger. The remainder of the bulkhead hangs from this top section. At the bottom of the bulkhead, at each side, is a springloaded bolt which can be released to enter a corresponding hole in the skirt of the side wall to hold the bulkhead vertical. Another bolt-hole near the top holds the bulkhead fore and aft or else supports it against the ceiling.

If necessary, the overhead roller track can be extended throughout the entire length of the body, while the positioning of the holes for the locking pins is entirely to the operator's choice. Flexible neoprene sealing strips are fitted all around the bulkhead, which itself may be either of plain or insulated construction.

The additional list price for the new movable bulkhead, in its standard form, is about £400 the exact price depending on the specification.
