It includes an annual holiday supplement payment of £5.55 for each week of annual holiday with a maximum payment of three weeks at that rate. Provision has been made for pro rata payments for drivers who have a reduced holiday entitlement because they have less than 12 months' service. The qualifying period for the holiday bonus is from May I 1974 to April 30 1975. Firms already paying holiday bonus or supplement need only to make up existing payments to £5.55 a week.
The union is to recommend to its members the acceptance of a clause which guarantees no stoppage, goslow, or other restrictive practice by the TGWU before the expiry of 14 days' notice to the operator concerned. It is understood that 5/35 branch will vote on this recommendation at its meeting on September 21.
