• Calibration of noise meters within tolerances narrower than those previously specified are
proposed in an amendment to regulation 21A of the 1966 Construction and Use Regulations which the Minister of Transport has circulated for comment.
A cheaper test method, giving improved meter accuracy in use, has prompted this amendment: it is understood that meters complying with BS 3539: 1962 will have no difficulty in meeting the new requirements.
