A SPACIOUS new depot which has rTh. been built in Guernsey will accommodate 69 of the 97 buses run jointly on the island by the Guernsey Railway Co. and Guernsey Motors, Ltd., St. Peter Port. The building provides 240 ft. by 85 ft. of garage space.
Equipped with modern plant for servicing both petrol and oil engines, the depot incorporates departments for painters, electricians, trimmers and tyrefitters.
Latest techniques in fluorescent lighting have been applied to obviate dark spots, so that indoor painting and repair work can be carried out efficiently. The paint shop, which can house two vehicles, has a dust-proof ceiling, and the room is kept at a regular temperature.
