THE date of the Edinburgh round of the Scottish Commercial Vehicle Driver of the Year Competition has now been confirmed as September 7. The event will take place at Marine Gardens. Entries for this and the other eliminating rounds close on August 24.
Some difficulty has now arisen over the site of the Glasgow round, which was due to take place at the Territorial Army training ground, Shawfield, on September 14, and there is some doubt whether the event will be held.
The Aberdeen competition takes place at Great Southern Road on September 7, and the Dundee-Perth event at Errol Aerodrome, near Perth, on September 14
