• The theme of this year's Tipcon conference being held on 1-2 May at Harrogate is "Will BS 5750 Pay?" On Friday 1 May the discussion is being led by Dr Clive Carefoot, managing director of Walter Carefoot & Sons, Sandra Spruce, district commercial manager of ICI Chemicals and Polymers and Stephen Briefly, commercial quality and training executive of Cereal Industries.
And Margaret Thatcher's former press secretary Sir Bernard Ingham, will be the guest speaker at the lunch.
Saturday 2 May's programme will be led by Dennis Welch, plant manager of Cummins Engine, John Bryant, managing director of ERF and Steve Hart, consultant to the National Tyre Distributors Association.
The traditional banquet will be held on the Saturday night at the Majestic Hotel and the exhibition will be open until 16:00hrs on the Sunday.
