The vehicle was sold by BRS Car Auctions on behalf of MJ Parry Haulage which, unfortunately, is no longer trading. The old bruiser raised £8,500 when it was sold to a collector and may need a further £7,000 spent on it to restore its sixties swagger.
But with a new battery fitted, the engine started first time, proving that the old 'uns can still teach the young 'uns a thing or two when it comes to reliability.
