the novel result of a partnership between a primary school head teacher and a social worker.
People in Need was formed in Kilmarnock by primary school head Raymond Frew and senior social worker John Keast who both have HGV licences. After initial runs last summer, the two decided that hiring vehicles was expensive and depending on goodwill uncertain, so they bought "Western Star", an MAN 19.361 tractor unit.
